Some of the treating doctors are legally and economically independent. In the case of treatment by appropriate doctors, this fact is explicitly pointed out and medical services are billed by these doctors on the basis of the schedule of fees for doctors (GOÄ) in its currently valid version plus VAT. In appropriate cases, medical services are provided directly by these doctors and the treatment contract is not concluded with kalialab GmbH, but with the attending physician.

The professional titles are awarded in Germany by the responsible medical associations. Physicians are subject to the professional regulations of the respective medical association, which can be viewed at the medical association.
